A Winter Wonderland Wedding in Holmfirth

As a wedding videographer, I have experienced many unforgettable moments, but nothing quite like the wedding of Chelsie and Adam in Holmfirth. The day before the wedding, I arrived in Holmfirth while it was snowing heavily, determined to be there on time. Despite the weather, I decided to take a walk around the area and capture some establishing shots, and boy was I in for a treat.

It snowed heavily overnight, and when I woke up, the scene outside my window resembled a ski resort in the Alps. The father of the bride needed help digging out the bride from her room, and I was more than happy to assist. After this, I walked through the snow up to Coddy's Farm to see the groom. As I made my way back down to see the bride, the snow stopped falling. The timing couldn't have been better, as we were all preparing to walk up to the vineyard for the ceremony.

The view from the vineyard was something out of a dream, with a backdrop of fresh snow under full sunshine. The scene was breathtaking, and I knew I had to capture every moment of it. As the ceremony began, I made sure to record every detail, from the vows to the first kiss as a married couple.

The reception was equally magical, with Mr Sax playing the saxophone and the couple's first dance as husband and wife. The evening guests started arriving as the sun began to set, and the atmosphere was electric. As the night came to an end, I left the party to find my car still snowed in. I dug it out, got in, and began driving home, feeling grateful to have been part of such a beautiful and unforgettable winter wedding. The heavy snowfall could have easily derailed the plans we had made. Timings absolutely went out of the window throughout the day. However, as with every client, I had regular contact with them, including two in-depth planning meetings to discuss the timeline of the day and the events that they absolutely wanted capturing. Despite the inclement (but beautiful!) weather, I captured everything the couple wanted on film and can't wait for them to see their final films.
